Holiday Celebrations and PartiesAll classroom parties at Ludwig will now be "food free," in an effort for all students to safely enjoy them. There are many non-food creative options that allow for all students to experience the festivities. Please ask your homeroom teacher for ideas.

Student Birthday CelebrationsAny student wishing to celebrate his/her birthday or half birthday (for those in the summer) is welcome to do so. Summer birthdays are welcome to celebrate on his/her half birthday or anytime throughout the year. Students MAY NOT bring in any edible (FOOD or CANDY) birthday treats. We have SEVERE FOOD ALLERGIES in our classroom and throughout the building. Sending non-food items, such as pencils, stickers, and fun erasers are a great way to share in the student's celebration. In addition to these suggestions, at Ludwig, you are also encouraged to have your child choose a special book from our Library Media Specialist for $10. This fee will include the book, along with a photo of your child, his or her name, and birthday, which will be added to the school Library Media Center for all students to see and read. You can also choose to have this book remain in the classroom as part of the classroom library too. Moreover, please do not send birthday invitations to school because students tend to get their feelings hurt if not all students are invited.
